American Express + Pinterest

Studio Design Manager | Designer

During the pandemic, consumer shopping habits shifted away from small businesses. To rekindle support for these businesses in a post-pandemic world, my studio facilitated a collaboration between Pinterest and American Express, launching a virtual pop-up tailored to emerging post-pandemic needs. This pop-up spotlighted categories like travel accessories, fashion, and beauty products and allowed customers to purchase directly through a curated Pinterest shop.

My studio designed and ship over 100 assets within a two-week production sprint. This required designing a modular system that was flexible, but still aligned with the core of Shop Small and AMEX’s brand principles.

We focused on two core sets of assets: One that focused on the store and one that focused on the owner. Humanizing small business owners in a time of downward shopping trends was an effective way to promote foot traffic and support of these location.
